It appears that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is in the final stages of filming. Now, Karen Gillan cast some doubt as to whether her character Nebula will be involved in theMarvel Cinematic Universe going forward.
As exciting as it is that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will soon enter the post-production stage, the story of the titular team seems all but finished once the film hits theaters. Director James Gunn has already said Vol. 3 will be the final adventure for the current Guardians of the Galaxy team, and now Gillan has potentially backed up those comments.

In her latest Instagram post, Gillan expressed her lack of knowledge about what the future held for her and Nebula going forward, but in case it was the end, she thanked Gunn for the time he's allowed her to play the character since 2014. «And that’s a wrap on Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3!!! I don’t know if Nebula will return beyond this, it’s possible that this is her final chapter. And if that’s the case, then I just want to say thank you to James Gunn for giving me such an interesting, complex and fascinating character to play,» Gillan said in her post. «I have enjoyed this exploration more than any other character I’ve played. That was one hell of a decade. Thanks for watching.»
Now of course the only people who know what's going on behind the scenes are Gillan, Gunn, and those running the MCU. For all we know, this is a ploy to get more fans excited for the movie believing that Nebula's life may potentially be in danger for this upcoming installment of Guardians of the Galaxy.
