Pete Davidson has yet again been absent from Saturday Night Live, prompting many to wonder if he has left the show. Pete Davidson has become one of SNL's most well-known current cast members, thanks to a great deal of media coverage regarding his personal life and his relationship with Kim Kardashian. Davidson and Kardashian made their relationship public in November 2021, which in turn has prompted a public feud between Davidson and Kardashian's ex-husband, Ye (formerly Kanye West).
Outside of his relationship with Kim Kardashian, Davidson's star has been rising in recent years. After a starring role in The King of Staten Island, Pete Davidson followed up by appearing as Blackguard in James Gunn's The Suicide Squad in 2021, and as the voice of Marmaduke in the animated Netflix film of the same name. However, in the months following Davidson's regular appearance in headlines due to his relationship with Kim Kardashian, he has been absent from Saturday Night Live numerous times, causing concerns that he may be looking to leave the long-running sketch show.

Though Davidson has been absent from a number of episodes in recent months, there is no indication that he has left Saturday Night Live. In fact, Davidson's previous absences from SNL in the earlier months of 2022 were due to scheduling conflicts, as he was filming for the horror thriller The Home, set for release in 2023. As Pete Davidson is busy working on numerous upcoming projects, it's reasonable to assume that his absence can most likely be attributed to these.
