The Justice League has suffered some massive losses following the epic «Death of the Justice League» story, but there may be more to one hero's death than meets the eye. A long-time Leaguer's fate mirrors an event from a twisted universe, possibling hinting that a heartbreaking betrayal is right around the corner.
It's been known for months that the death of the Justice League was coming and now, fans have witnessed heroes such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman killed in action in Justice League #75 by Josh Williamson, Rafa Sandoval, Jordie Tarragona, Matt Herms, and Josh Reed. In the story, Green Arrow comes along for the ride as heroes are called by Justice League Incarnate to combat Pariah and his alliance with the Great Darkness. While the combined might of both Leagues struggles against the evil forces, it looks like Green Arrow could help turn the tide thanks to a few trick arrows. Unfortunately, Oliver Queen has a nasty run-in with Doomsday that ends with him seemingly dying in the arms of his beloved Black Canary.

However, because he isn't shown perishing like his comrades, there's a chance Arrow could have survived. But if he did, he may wind up going down the same dark path explored in one of the worst worlds in DC's Multiverse.
