Superman vs Black Adam Decides the Justice League's Entire Future

Both the new Superman and Black Adam share the same respect and admiration for the late original Supes, but that same respect is going to put these two heroes into conflict as a new Justice League attempts to form for Dark Crisis.

At this point in his early career as Superman, Jon Kent is trying to etch out a path for himself whilst living up to the legacy of his father. Meanwhile, Black Adam and the original Superman viewed each other as equals among the Justice League. More than that, just a dozen issues before the Justice League's demise, Superman expressed that not only Black Adam has the potential to be a better hero than him, he wants Black Adam to be a better hero than Superman. Black Adam certainly did not take those words lightly, especially upon Superman's death. Those words must ring closer to his heart even more so now that Black Adam remains the only surviving member of the original Justice League heading into DC's Dark Crisis event. He is just as determined to live up to Superman's legacy as Jon is, but the storyline will see both having conflicting views regarding what that legacy should look like, especially as Jon Kent endeavors on crafting a new Justice League molded in his father's honor.

In a new interview with CBR, Dark Crisis writer Joshua Williamson teases the conflict that arises between Adam and Jon. Without giving away too much of his future plans for Dark Crisis, Williamson is able to confirm that Black Adam isn't going to be co-signing Jon Kent's new Justice League anytime soon because Black Adam «sees them as children.
