Pokemon GO trainers still have a few days left to get in their last battles against Groudon for June 2022, but it won't be long before the next Legendary Battle Raid rotation arrives. The Season of Go has been full of excitement so far and late June is bringing another treat for fans of Battle Raids as Mewtwo returns for two full weeks with two different move sets up for grabs for players who are trying to build the ultimate Mewtwo arsenal.
Mewtwo originally appeared as an EX Raid way back in the day, but has since become a tier 5 Battle Raid boss on and off. The meta game has shifted a lot since its earliest appearances, so many Pokemon GO trainers are likely going to want to revisit their saved rosters before the boss reappears on the radar from Thursday, June 16, 2022, to July 1, 2022. Thanks to new debuts, Mega options, and additional evolutions; those old rosters are likely in serious need of some updates before that June 16 rotation hits.
Pokemon GO: Best Kyogre Counters (June 2022)
As a reminder, Mewtwo is a Psychic-type Pokemon. The Psychic-type makes Mewtwo weakest against Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-type Pokemon. Those three different weaknesses should give trainers a lot of exciting options for fielding a full roster of heavy hitters before the Legendary Battle Raid boss takes over for the second half of June.
Obviously the recommended top tier list includes some Pokemon that not every player will have access to. The Battle Raid is still very doable without the supreme counters, as long as trainers enter with enough allies and field a roster with the best possible counters available to them. In the case of this Mewtwo battle, that means checking for the highest CP and IV Bug-, Dark-, and Ghost-types in the collection.
