James Gunn Reveals The Last Thing He Filmed for GOTG 3
Director James Gunn has revealed the last thing he filmed for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. The first Guardians of the Galaxy premiered in 2014, with its sequel, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, following in 2017. Five years later, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has not yet premiered, but it is starting to gear up for its 2023 release. Its original release date was to be May 2020, but the production was plagued with multiple delays, including Gunn's temporary firing from Disney and the covid-19 pandemic.
After these delays, it was particularly exciting to hear that filming officially began in November 2021. Now, the cast and crew has confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 has wrapped filming, as well. Plot details have been kept strictly under wraps, but it was revealed that Will Poulter will appear in the film as Adam Warlock. It is suspected that his character will be more villainous in Guardians of the Galaxy 3 than his comic book counterpart and will be seeking revenge on the Guardians. Besides Poulter, the sequel will also see the return of Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldaña (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), and Bradley Cooper (Rocket).

Gunn took to Twitter to reveal the very last thing that he filmed for Guardians of the Galaxy 3. In the post, he shared a picture of the slate that his camera crew made for him on the final day of filming. He indicated the final thing he filmed was a simple shot of Rocket seated.
