It Takes Two studio Hazelight has finally officially revealed its next game, Split Fiction.
Introduced along with a debut trailer at The Game Awards, the game tells the story of two writers who specialise in fantasy and sci-fi stories.
Both characters find themselves in each other’s worlds, meaning players have to make their way through sci-fi and fantasy environments, using each other’s abilities to work together.
The game will be released on March 6 and will be published by EA, Hazelight confirmed.
Like its predecessor It Takes Two, the game will come with a pass allowing players to buy one copy of the game and play online co-op with someone else without having to buy a second copy.
Hazelight has been teasing Split Fiction for a couple of months now, though some aspects of the game have been revealed ahead of time by insiders.
Back in October creative director Josef Faresteased the studio’s next game along with a starred-out version of its name.
This name was revealed just a week later by reliable insider billbil-kun, who confirmed that it would be called Split Fiction. They later said the game would be released on March 6, which has now also proved to be the case.
