First announced three years ago now, MachineGames’ Indiana Jones is one of the biggest first party titles Xbox has in the works right now, and soon, the game is going to be fully unveiled. Microsoft has set a new Xbox Developer_Direct for January 18, where the company has confirmed it will be unveiling Indiana Jones, including its first gameplay trailer and new details coming from MachineGames. In addition to that, it seems like a launch date will also be revealed- and it’s allegedly closer than you think.
Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson has claimed that according to sources close to the project, Indiana Jones is set to launch in 2024 itself. Shortly after the game’s announcement in 2021, Bethesda said it was in the “very, very, very early stages of production”, so the expectation for many may have been that the game was still a ways off from launch, but apparently, MachineGames has made faster progress than most would have thought.
If that does turn out to be accurate, it will make 2024 an even more stacked year for Xbox, with several other titles also set to launch this year, with Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Avowed, Towerborne, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Ara: History Untold.
The upcoming Xbox Developer_Direct will also include new updates on the aforementioned Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Avowed, and Ara: History Untold.
