Warning! Spoilers for The Boys comics and television series below
Homelander is The Boys' worst nightmare in stunning cover art from Gabriele Dell'Otto, which features the powerhouse Supe emerging from the shadows with his eyes glowing red. In the comic art, Homelander poses in a menacing stance which shows why he's become the most feared «hero» in The Boys universe, as even with just a look, his presence should terrify those standing in his way.
In both The Boys comic book series and the currently running streaming series, Homelander has emerged as an unrivaled threat in a world full of superpowered heroes. Homelander leads the superhero team, The Seven, with an iron fist, as he's their primary decision-maker and ultimate weapon. With Superman-like powers, Homelander is the opposite of the DC Comics hero he satirizes. He uses his god-like powers to instill fear and kill those who oppose him while hiding his true, horrifying persona from the public, who are manipulated through media to believe he's the greatest hero on Earth.

In a recently revealed variant cover for The Boys #7 by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, artist Gabriele Dell'Otto (Secret War, X-Force: Sex and Violence) did his own take on Homelander. In his piece, which is an exclusive cover to Spectral Comics and only has a limited number of copies, Homelander emerges from the shadow as the light shines on his costumes. At the same time, half of his body remains covered by darkness. Homelaner's eyes glow red, one sight that those opposing the powerful superhero never want to see.
The cover is another exclusive cover from Spectral Comics illustrating just how terrifying Homelander is.
