Homelander comes face to face with Thanos in an epic piece of crossover fan art between The Boys and Avengers: Endgame. Based on the comic books series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, Amazon Prime Video's The Boys puts a dystopian spin on the much-loved superhero genre, by presenting a world in which its heroes are the face of a corrupt corporation, known as Vought Industries. With The Boys season 3 now in full swing, audiences have watched as Homelander, one of the show's lead supes played by Antony Starr, continues his twisted and tyrannical reign as things begin to fall apart around him.
The Boys recently saw the release of its long-awaited «Herogasm» episode, which was greatly anticipated as it was set to adapt a hilariously crude storyline from the comics. However, many were delighted when the episode finally saw Homelander come up against Soldier Boy, a character who had previously been described as a parody of the MCU's Captain America. There have been a number of references to the MCU throughout The Boys, some more obvious than others, with one particular "girls get it done" sequence in season 2 having playfully poked fun at a scene in Avengers: Endgame's final battle.
