The Boys season 3 had some cut «Herogasm» scenes that would've hurt its best moment had they been included. Adapted from a six-part miniseries of the same name from Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s original comic, the Prime Video Original's adaptation more than lived up to the hype. According to showrunner Eric Kripke, the «Herogasm» episode was going to include even more outrageous scenes that were ultimately cut due to time and budget restraints. Due to the effectiveness of one particular scene, however, this ultimately is for the best.
Season 3 of The Boys has focused on the group searching for a means to kill Homelander once and for all. This led to Butcher and Hughie injecting themselves with a new, temporary form of Compound V called V24 and using Soldier Boy as a living weapon, much to the dismay of Mother's Milk and Starlight. In addition to the titular moment itself, The Boys' «Herogasm» delivers some payoff to several storylines, notably in having Butcher, Hughie, and Soldier Boy come incredibly close to killing Homelander. However, as Kripke states, there was a lot more the show intended to deliver during this long-awaited episode.

In a recent interview, Kripke discussed how certain restraints led to certain scenes in The Boys season 3's «Herogasm» being cut. Such scenes included a sex scene involving an aquatic creature-like Supe and a running gag of extreme emissions of bodily fluid. While these certainly would have fit the tone of the episode, it's better that the scenes didn't make it into the final cut, especially when it would have taken away from the moment involving Mother's Milk being sprayed with said
