In case you forgot, Netflix and Capcom announced a Devil May Cry anime last year. It's been nearly a year since we saw the very brief first teaser, and now we've been treated to a slightly less brief teaser trailer, introducing viewers to Dante (from the Devil May Cry series).
Spearheaded by Adi Shankar (who also brought us Netflix's Castlevania) and animated by Studio Mir, which has credits on X-Men '97, The Legend of Korra, and much more, the simply-titled Devil May Cry follows the franchise's main lead as he hunts demons with style. Details on the plot are thin on the ground, but fans have deduced this is likely a prequel series, owing to Dante's younger-sounding voice and the lack of his iconic Ebony and Ivory pistols.
Though it has yet to be officially confirmed, fans have also worked out that Johnny Yong Bosch is providing the voice work for Dante. This is interesting, as Bosch has previously played the part of Nero in the games.
As far as we're concerned, we think this trailer shows a lot of promise — it's capitalising on the stylish action DMC is known for, so it should be a good time when it arrives in April 2025. What do you think? Tell us in the comments section below.

Wasn't it a bit stupid to put Bosch as Dante? What if they introduce a Nero Anime at some point?
I think the animation looks pretty good. Although i wish DMC anime by Madhouse got a 2nd season since i really enjoyed it and it also canon with the game.
But why o why they put Bosch to voiced Dante when he already voiced Nero?
I guess no more Dante for Reuben Langdon huh. Bummer :/
