Similar to this year’s Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, this new collection brings improved visuals, modern controls, photo mode, and trophies/achievements to the series’ latter trilogy. Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered launches February 14, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Players can preorder today for $29.99. However, those who preorder for PlayStation, Steam, or Nintendo Switch will receive a 10% discount.
“Discover remastered visuals that bring new life to environments, characters, and artifacts, with the option to toggle between classic and modern graphics on the fly,” reads a description of the collection. “Choose between new modern controls inspired by later entries in the series for smoother movement and camera capability, or opt for the original tank-style controls. Photo Mode is also back with all poses from Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft included, along with brand-new ones to commemorate the adventure!”
Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation was originally released for the PS1 and PC in 1999. Tomb Raider: Chronicles was released for PS1, Dreamcast, and PC in 2000. The series made the jump to PS2 when Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness launched in 2003. All three were developed by Core Design, with the sixth entry being the studio’s last. They were also all published by Eidos Interactive.
Developer and publisher Aspyr has been busy lately bringing old forgotten games to modern consoles. Very recently, they announced Star Wars Episode 1: Jedi Power Battles is getting a remaster launching on January 23, 2025. They also announced they are developing Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2, which launches December 10, 2024.
