Warner Bros. has released the first screenshots showing Hogwarts Legacy running on Nintendo Switch.
The native port, which was originally due out earlier this year, will finally release on November 14, priced at $60 for the standard edition.
During Warner Bros. Discovery’s first quarter earnings call in May, JB Perrette, CEO of global streaming and games, said the company had high hopes for the release of the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy.
“We see that as probably a much bigger install base and a fan base that, as relates to the franchise of Harry Potter, which obviously appeals to a very big audience globally, and in markets like Japan where Nintendo has a big footprint and Harry Potter skews very strongly in terms of popularity, we see a much bigger upside probably from that release, certainly than the Gen 8 [release],” he said.
Hogwarts Legacy was comfortably Europe’s best-selling game in the first half of 2023.
The open-world action RPG sold over 12 million copies and raked in $850 million in sales in the first two weeks following its PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC release on February 10, making it Warner’s biggest game launch ever.
Hogwarts Legacy was released for PS4 and Xbox One on May 5, when Warner announced that the game had topped $1 billion in retail sales and sold over 15 million copies.
