Antonia Thomas will be reprising the role of Dr. Claire Browne on several upcoming episodes of The Good Doctor season 5. The series, which began airing on ABC in 2017, is based on the South Korean drama of the same name. It follows Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, a surgeon with autism who works at the San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital in California. Other cast members of the series include Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman, and Christina Chang as Dr. Audrey Lim.
One of the key characters in the first four seasons was Dr. Claire Browne, played by Lovesick's Antonia Thomas. Browne is another surgeon who befriends Dr. Murphy, though at the end of season 4 she decided to take a job at a remote hospital in Guatemala. Thomas decided to exit the show, stating that she didn't see anywhere further for her character to go, though leaving the door open for a possible return as a guest star on the show.
