Get Butchered During the Diablo IV Open Beta Weekend!
For veteran Diablo players, nothing strikes fear into your heart quite like rounding a corner in a dungeon, facing the pitch-black darkness, and hearing a guttural roar of «FRESH MEAT!» Bringing that fear to a new generation of players, The Butcher is back — and he's meaner than ever! The Butcher can be found (or more accurately, finds YOU) in any Dungeon in Sanctuary — albeit rarely. How will you know when you've found him? You won't have to worry — he'll make himself known! As you can see, The Butcher despawns if you take too long to kill him — alternatively, he doesn't stick around if he kills you! The great news is, The Butcher can absolutely be slain, and incredible bragging rights (and loot!) go to whoever can manage it.
A key tip, as you'll see in many of these kill videos, is that kiting is key — if you can manage to play Ring Around the Rosie with the environment, you'll have a much easier time. As the hardest boss besides Ashava in the Diablo IV Beta, The Butcher is certainly no slouch!
