Bad news for anyone thinking GameStop would deliver on the physical collector's edition of the Resident Evil 4 remake. According to multiple sources, GameStop has canceled all in-store orders of RE4 Collector's Edition.
According to Wario64 on Twitter, GameStop employees were handed a memo yesterday confirming all in-store orders for RE4 Collector's Editions "won't arrive in stores and will not be fulfilled." There was no mention of online orders in the memo, so online fulfillment is presumably still going forward. However, those who ordered their Collector's Edition in-store will have to "move their reservation to another game, use the deposit as credit to purchase something else, or get a refund."

Another customer stated (via VGC) that GameStop had "canceled" in-store orders for Resident Evil 4 Collector's Edition "across the board." Replies to the post state that GameStop still has online stock, but supply is likely to be limited. It's uncertain whether everyone who ordered their RE4 Collector's Edition in stores will be able to swap for one online.
Resident Evil 4 Collector's Edition contains a physical disc of the game, a Steelbook case, the game’s soundtrack, an artbook, a poster-sized map, and a Leon figurine in a large crate. It also has an Extra DLC Pack product code which includes "casual" and "romantic" costumes for Leon and Ashley, "hero" and "villain" costumes for Leon, an expanded treasure map, two deluxe weapons, the original soundtrack swap, and "Sporty" sunglasses. You'll also get the pre-order bonuses of a gold attache case and a green herb and handgun ammo charm.
