A lot of gamers are familiar with the excitement and joy gained through creating one's own gaming collection. Whether it's finding a copy of a favorite Nintendo 64 title or a unique Pepsiman action figure, adding a new piece to a growing collection is a fond childhood memory many gamers have. However, due to the hectic nature of life, sometimes these relics get pushed back further and further on the shelves, collecting dust through the years. Life changes can make some people accidentally forget about these items that once held so much weight. Thankfully, sometimes these old games and memorabilia resurface when it's least expected.

One Reddit user known on the platform as Alex_Da_Cat got an awesome surprise when they found a box of old games from their childhood. After Alex_Da_Cat was asked to search through old storage boxes in their mom's garage, they were welcomed by a box filled with a variety of different games for various consoles and handhelds. At first glance, a few of the games that can be seen in the box include the Game Boy Advance classic Pokemon Sapphire, Sonic for the Nintendo DS, andFallout 3 for the Xbox 360.
