Some Minecraft players are reporting that a bug is preventing them from loading the game. Players are eagerly awaiting the release of Minecraft's big update 1.20, which will add several new features to the game. Officially called Trails & Tales, the update features armor trimming and a new biome, promising new adventures for Minecraft players. Before that, however, Mojang released Minecraft update 1.9.4 with changes to potions, horse breeding, accessibility improvements, and more. But as is common with the release of an update, new bugs and glitches can appear.

Last month Minecraft 1.20 snapshot had a bug that did not allow players to use a feature related to the new biome. Some users are reporting that after update 1.9.7 the game loading freezes at 66%. Most players say that the problem is happening on Switch, although a post on the official Minecraft subreddit says the bug happened on the PS4 version of the game. Some users have also confirmed having the same problem on Mojang's official Issue Tracker, a website where players can report Minecraft bugs.
Mojang has yet to comment on the «66% bug,» or report whether a fix is on the way. Meanwhile, players are trying alternative solutions to get around the problem.
