A Doctor Who event is reportedly coming to Fortnite.
Twitter user iFireMonkey, who regularly reports on Fortnite content ahead of its announcement, suggested the game is set to tie in with the popular BBC sci-fi show.
According to them, the two-week-long event will be timed with the show’s 60th-anniversary celebrations, which kick off later this year.
“The Item Shop would feature 2 Skins, 2 Pickaxes, 1 Glider, and 1 Emote,” they claim.
iFireMonkey also posted a picture of what is believed to be an extremely early version of the event’s tab in the in-game menu.
The menu features references to the Tardis and U.N.I.T, both from the long-running sci-fi show.

Fortnite has featured collaborations with several large brands over the years including Star Wars, Dragonball Z, and more.
It’s unclear if the event will be as in-depth as some of the other branded events. For example, the various Star Wars collaborations have added lightsabers as special weapons in the game.
The long-term Marvel events featured in-game added a Spider-Man swinging mechanic, Iron Man blasters, and other comic book-inspired weaponry. According to the report, it seems this event will be more focused on the game’s creative mode, although how this will manifest is unclear.
Doctor Who will celebrate its 60th anniversary later this year, with three specials featuring fan favorite Doctor, David Tennant, returning to the role. Catherine Tate will also reprise her role as Donna Noble in the specials, which will air in November of 2023. Following this, Ncuti Gatwa will take over the role.
