The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is finally here, as millions of people will now be flying through the skies of Hyrule, exploring unknown lands filled with discoveries to be made. It's arguably going to be the biggest game to launch this year, and even Nintendo's "rivals" have had to sit up and notice just how much of a splash Link and crew have made this month.
PlayStation is one such rival, acknowledging the launch of Tears of the Kingdom with its own celebratory tweet via the official PlayStation Twitter account. While Xbox is a little more friendly with its competitors, PlayStation very rarely acknowledges the launch of games outside of its own ecosystem. What makes things even more peculiar is that PlayStation hasn't even tagged any Nintendo accounts in its tweet, willingly calling its own followers "Hylians".

You can see the tweet below, which simply reads "Have fun up there, Hylians!". It's a little odd, especially when PlayStation only reserves congratulations to other platform holders upon the launch of actual consoles, but it's probably a bit better than simply pretending the majority of its players aren't playing one of the biggest games to launch in recent memory.
In fact, it's quite nice to see two big platforms like PlayStation and Nintendo playing nice like this, especially when all of their hardcore fans want to do is froth at the mouth with anger whenever the other gets something new. On top of that, Xbox has also congratulated Nintendo on the launch of the Tears of the Kingdom, although as previously mentioned, it's not particularly as reserved with its words of praise as PlayStation is.
