Max 4K Movies and TV Lineup Revealed as Rebrand Launches
As HBO Max becomes Max, the streamer has released its, featuring content from many major franchises and series.
Among the many movies and shows included in the lineup are iconic franchises like Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, the DC Extended Universe, and Game of Thrones. Current and popular HBO series like Succession and Barry are also present on the list.
The streaming platform boasts “enhanced formats,” including 60 fps content and atmospheric audio. The company also announced that all future Warner Bros. movies from this year on will be available in 4K UHD upon their Max release following their theatrical windows.
“We understand the value of offering our users a cinematic playback experience and to that end, we’ve implemented more advanced technology workflows that allow us to release more 4K content in a faster, more efficient way,” Sudheer Sirivara, Global Technology Platform, Warner Bros. Discovery stated. “Max will offer more than 1,000 films and episodes in 4K at launch, and we’ll be adding more every month as we move forward.”
