Gooooood morning to you all, friends and lovers, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? You’ll have to forgive your pal Moyse for the flying visit this week, as it has been an incredibly busy week, complete with some weekend working – *sadface* – in order to be prepped for this huge launch week. Both Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 and Blizzard’s Diablo IV are currently swooping into battle, and I have a fair old bit to do ahead of these releases. Still, this weekend should be a bit lighter for me.
I hope that this week’s entry of WBP? finds you all in a good place, and that you all have equally calmer weekends lined up. If you’re free for the next couple of days, I hope that they are joyful, and that you get some quality R’n’R emboldened by quality entertainment. And if you are, unfortunately, Workin’ for The Man today, (not Becky Lynch), then know that we’re sending you good vibes for a smooth shift, and I hope that you get home to something that’s all for you very soon.

This week has been dominated by Street Fighter 6, I game that I have been very excited about in the run-up to and am extremely pleased with on its release. It has its own share of slips and falls — World Tour is strangely formed and oddly written, and the specter of monetization hands over the title — but the characters, visuals, technical prowess and, of course, the fight itself are all S-Tier elements. I plan to spend this weekend eating donuts and finally playing the new scrapper not for the site, but for me.
