Publisher Curve Digital and developer IronOak Games have released a new For the King 2 trailer.
Viewable below, it offers a look at some of the new features being introduced in the turn-based RPG sequel, which is inspired by tabletop adventures.
Set 20 years after For the King, the game sees players battling against Fahrul’s tyrannical Queen solo or in a party of four.

New features include ‘landboats’ which enable players to travel together in the overworld, and the ability to recruit characters and animals to parties.
The original game’s Scourge system also returns, with the trailer introducing a newly imagined Hangman.
“Allowing fans to kick off a single-player experience or play cooperatively online and in couch co-op with up to four players, For The King II offers brand-new combat mechanics and features, a host of new biomes to explore, a beautiful updated art style, new weapons and enemies to conquer – and much more,” according to Curve.
“From the vast number of character and item combinations to the procedurally generated maps, quests, loot, and events – the world of Fahrul is ever-changing and will constantly keep players on their toes.”
For the King 2 will be released via Steam this year. Following an early access period, its predecessor saw a full release on Steam in April 2018 before coming to Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch a year later.
