HBO has released a preview trailer for the eighth episode of The Last of Us.
Viewable below, the teaser for the show’s next episode shows Ellie battling a group of survivors led by a character called David.
David’s partner James is played by Troy Baker, who portrayed Joel Miller in Naughty Dog‘s The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2.
Episode 8 will premiere on Sunday March 5 at 9pm ET / Monday March 6 at 2am GMT.
It follows episode 7, which focused on Ellie’s backstory and her relationship with Riley Abel, which was the subject of the game’s Left Behind prequel DLC.
The Last of Us is produced and written by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl) and Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann, who also co-wrote and directed the game series.
Over the course of nine episodes, its debut season will cover the events of The Last of Us, which was released for PS3 in 2013, and its Left Behind DLC, which arrived the following year.
HBO recently renewed The Last of Us for a second season.
Earlier this month, Sony delayed the PC release of The Last of Us Part 1 from March 3 to March 28.
It means the PC version of the remake will arrive a few weeks after the conclusion of the HBO show, which is due to air its final episode on March 12.
