World of Warcraft players have found a new secret tucked away in a corner of the Orc Heritage questline. This hilarious discovery in World of Warcraft is an unexpected callback to an Easter egg that traces its history all the way back to Warcraft 2.
Patch 10.0.7 recently hit World of Warcraft, bringing with it new story content, side quests, and activities to complete. One of the most exciting parts of the new patch was the Orc Heritage questline. During this story, players help to revive a tradition from the Orc’s ancient history, gathering representatives from all the clans together in a grand celebration of culture and comradery–the Kosh’harg festival.

However, an unexpected clan made a guest appearance during the Orc Heritage event in World of Warcraft. Keen-eyed players discovered a curious flower behind the barracks of Razor Hill in Durotar. When they approach the area, a Mysterious Orc appears, places a Mysterious Flower in their inventory, and whispers, “You saw nothing.” The flower’s tooltip also states that “the legends are true,” confirming this secret as a reference to the Flowerpicker Clan.
The Flowerpicker Clan is an Easter egg originally found inWarcraft 2: Beyond the Dark Portal. During the campaign, each of the eight colors of Alliance or Horde troops is associated with a different Human kingdom or Orc clan. That said, the blue team of orcs never appear in the game in Beyond the Dark Portal. When players datamined the name of this team, they found it was called the Flowerpicker Clan.
A reference to the Flowerpicker Clan also appeared in Warlords of Draenor beta. Players could find a Mysterious Flower in different zones of Draenor.
