Since 2017, Fortnite has been redefining the battle royal genre — and gaming, in a way. Love it or hate it, there is no denying the innovation of the team behind Fortnite. Live concerts from famous names, in-game, real-time, map-changing events, and a huge swathe of other features have separated this game from anything else in the industry. With over 250 million players, any update is understandably highly anticipated. With every new season comes new weapons, skins, characters, and missions. If we’re really lucky we get a few new areas on the map too. The latest trailer for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 trailer teases all these and more ahead of its launch this week.

The trailer is up to interpretation, but there are a few things that make themselves clear: Characters, skins, and a new map.

In the Fortnite trailer it looks like we’re getting a neon-washed, Tokyo-esque, environment dropped into the map. Tall towers, glowing signs, and Akira-style bikes are incoming. The new map is going to be a bright playground reminiscent of the Neo-Tokyo of science fiction. It’s like a return of tilted towers, but bigger and much brighter.

I mean, why not? You can be everything else already. I dress as a snow-covered reindeer, may as well throw a dinosaur in there too, right? In the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 trailer we get a glimpse of new skins, ranging from reptile to rabbit. No doubt, the new skins will be instantly popular and you’ll find yourself hunting rabbits across the map in no time.

The really exciting one in the Fortnite trailer is the Attack on Titan crossover. The giant-killing team will be available to play, perhaps even using their abilities to zip around the map.
