Asobimo has soft-launched it’s latest ARPG, N-Innocence, in Canada and America.
The story of the game focuses on you waking up, having no memory of what brought you to your strange surroundings. For unknown reasons, a girl called Nye threatens to kill you. As you try to avoid her, as well as simultaneously regain your memories, you meet a new friend, Nya, who says she’ll protect you. With her by your side, you embark on a quest to travel to new lands, away from Ney, in an attempt to remember what happened to you.
N-Innocence uses a crossover of different mythical stories to create it’s world. For example, the game’s antagonist is a God made up from a blend of different mythologies, such as Nordic, Japanese, and Greek.
The gameplay itself comprises of simple yet fun tap-and-flick combat. With swap in, swap out gameplay, you’ll aim to create the perfect combination of heroes in order to defeat your enemies. Use your small team of four heroes to deal high ammonts of damage, and extra if your targets stagger!
It appears that fans were not expecting a region-locked soft-launch for N-Innocence. Fans have flooded the game’s Twitter account, expressing their anger at the fact that they can’t yet play the game. One user, @knt_issa, writes “another disappointment, trying all the methods with VPN Canada or United States, it still does not work. The game died early” under the <a href=«https://twitter.com/N_INNOCENCE_EN/status/1630151809187852289?ref_src=» https: target="_blank" rel=«noreferrer noopener»>Canada/America launch announcement post on Twitter
.
A lot of fans have also been tweeting at the studio, wondering if a global release will ever come.
If you’re in Canada or America, you can download N-Innocence from Google Play now.
