New Peripheral Works With Pokemon GO and Pokemon Sleep
Pokemon GO is getting a brand-new peripheral that will also work with the long awaited Pokemon Sleep app. Pokemon GO was first introduced in 2016 and was an instant sensation, allowing fans of all ages to experience the thrill of catching Pokemon in augmented reality. The augmented reality app has endured in popularity thanks to continuous additions to the roster of catchable Pokemon as well as new features being periodically added to Pokemon GO.
Pokemon Sleep was announced in May 2019. Nintendo and The Pokemon Company were mum on its development since then, leading some fans to believe that it had quietly been canceled. Pokemon Sleep finally has a release date thanks to the latest Pokemon Presents, but as usual this was not the only surprise in store for fans who tuned in to the 25-minute long presentation.
Fans Are Not Happy About Pokemon Presents Event
The peripheral announced in 2019 will work with both Pokemon Sleep and Pokemon GO named Pokemon Go Plus+. This Poke Ball-shaped device functions much like the original Pokemon GO Plus device, but also works as a sleep tracker. The Pokemon GO Plus+ will also give Pokemon GO players access to special research that will allow them to encounter a Snorlax wearing a cute sleeping cap.
The original Pokemon GO Plus peripheral enhanced the Pokemon GO experience by allowing the player to interact with PokeStops and catch Pokemon without taking out their phones. The updated Pokemon Plus+ might have a somewhat confusing name on the level of the Wii U, but the dual function as a sleep tracker makes it an intriguing device for Pokemon GO fans who also want to try and get on top of a healthy sleeping pattern.
