Given the Flash’s access to the Speed Force which grants him god-like abilities beyond that of simply super speed, it is no surprise that he would be able to defeat Wolverine one-on-one. What isn’t immediately obvious, however, is exactly how he would do it as Wolverine’s healing factor and animalistic ferocity makes him a formidable foe to anyone he’s fighting. Though it seems the Flash has answered that question after defeating one of his own villains in a way that would definitely work on Wolverine, and it is absolutely humiliating.
Wally West aka the Flash became the Scarlet Speedster after being granted a connection to a cosmic power grid known as the Speed Force. While channeling the Speed Force, Wally can sprint through the timestream, heal incredibly quickly, and vibrate so quickly that he can rearrange the atomic and molecular structures of himself and others. Wolverine, on the other hand, is much more down to earth in terms of his power set. James “Logan” Howlett was born a mutant in the late 1800s and was granted a number of abilities including a healing factor, heightened senses, and bone claws that extend from his fists. Years later, Wolverine was abducted by an evil organization that experimented on mutants, Weapon X, where he had the virtually unbreakable metal known as adamantium grafted to his skeleton, making him significantly deadlier.

In The Flash #782 by Jeremy Adams, Fernando Pasarin, and Matt Ryan, Flash and his partner Kid Flash are taking on a villain known as Girder after the convicted criminal escaped from prison.
