Final Fantasy XVI’s first DLC launches today, Leviathan DLC next spring

Square Enix today revealed the first two DLCs for Final Fantasy XVI, called Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide. Echoes of the Fallen launches today, while The Rising Tide is due to launch sometime in Spring 2024. Both DLC will apparently add to the main game’s story and take place before the game’s final battle.
While we don’t know yet exactly what kind of content will be available in both DLC, the trailer hints that Clive and company will discover something call Eikonoclasts in Echoes of the Fallen, and the mysterious lost Eikon, Leviathan, in Rising Tide. The trailer also reveals several in-game enemies, including the vicious-looking Tonberries.
