The PC version of Final Fantasy XVI will launch via Steam and Epic Games Store on September 17 for $49.99, Square Enix announced. A “Complete Edition” including the base game and the downloadable contents “Echoes of the Fallen” and “The Rising Tide” will also be available for $69.99. A demo featuring the opening section of the game is available now, and save data can be carried over to the full game.

Final Fantasy XVI first launched for PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023.

is seemingly designed with co-op at the forefront, especially in its Operations game mode. When a mission is selected, the game automatically starts looking for two more players to fill in the squad, and each person must use a different Space Marine class. Even the main campaign is fully playable in co-op, with friends taking control of brothers Gadriel and Chairon. Even in Operations, though, sometimes it's nice to cut through the Xenos hordes playing solo, without worrying about coordinating with others.
