One of the most impactful decisions players can make in is whether to kill Regalla or spare her life, with the latter option positively impacting the game's ending. This decision doesn’t change 's ending as, like, the game only has one possible conclusion. However, a player’s choice to spare or kill Regalla in will result in different outcomes.

Regalla is one of’s main antagonists and the leader of a faction of Tenakth rebels. In a boss fight during the game’s Main Quest, players confront Regalla, challenging her to a duel. If players successfully beat Regalla's boss fight in , they will be presented with two options to decide Regalla's fate.
Players can let Regalla live in by choosing the "" option.This will result in Regalla joining Aloy later in the game, storming the Zeniths' base in final and most tumultuous battle. She'll use her Tremortusks to assist Aloy in the battle, buying her some much-needed time.
Horizon Forbidden West features a select number of legendary weapons to equip Aloy with, with a few in particular standing out as the best.
When the player chooses the “” option, Regalla will be killed. On her death, Aloy will acquire her bow, Regalla's Wrath, one of 's new weapons and a powerful tool for Aloy to use. Killing Regalla is the only way to obtain Regalla's Wrath, and since it's a weapon which can one-shot some of smaller machines, many players may choose this option just to get it.
Players who are undecided can choose the third option, "." This option doesn't make a definitive choice but rather lets Alloy weigh her options. She will discuss Regalla's crimes and the points for and against sparing her. At the end of the dialogue, the player will still have to make a decision, but they'll be able to do so from a better educated position.
