Final Fantasy XIV's Annual Heavensturn Event Kicks Off December 31st
A New Year’s celebration is heading to Final Fantasy XIV ! With several rewards to grab, including an adorable Chocobo minion, there will be plenty to do around Limsa Lominsa.
The annual Heavensturn event begins on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 7:00 a.m., where players will need to head to the Upper Decks of Limsa Lominsa and speak with Ryu Metsuke to start the first quest. Once the event quest has been completed, players will accept their prize: Ryunosuke, the cutest and sweetest Chocobo hatchling dressed as a fire-breathing dragon.
Since the hatchling happens to be dressed as a dragon, we can head on over to the Dravanian Forelands to let Ryunosuke and Vidofnir have their own secret conversation. While players won't be able to understand what they're talking about, it appears there may be an Easter egg hidden within this encounter later on down the road.
If speaking with dragons isn’t on the to-do list, there will also be a fortune teller who can possibly give insight into the future for just 100 gil.
There is a lot of content heading to Final Fantasy XIV next year, including a new expansion, Dawntrail , a Fan Festival in Tokyo , and more.
