Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has proven successful since first launching in July 2021 for PC, iOS and Android. It’s sold over two million units worldwide, per the publisher (via Gamer.ne.jp). It didn’t break down the sales for each game specifically.
As the name indicates, Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster consists of remasters for Final Fantasy 1 to 6. It includes revamped visuals that stick close to the originals’ sprites, a rearranged orchestral soundtrack, options for turning off random battles and increasing XP earned, and more. There’s also a new pixel font, though the old one is still available.
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster recently launched for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, but again, Square Enix didn’t reveal how much these versions sold. Each title is available separately, with Final Fantasy 1 and2 costing $11.99 each, whileFinal Fantasy 3-6 costs $17.99 each. The entire collection is also available for $74.99 as a bundle.
