The highly-anticipated second part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, has received 19 minutes of TGS 2023 gameplay.
Earlier today we reported on some additional details from Rebirth, including the game's file size (a massive 150GB across two discs), the scope of Rebirth's story, expanded mini-games, and the availability of fan-favorite Vincent Valentine. Fast forward a few hours, and GameInformer has now published a new gameplay video from the game's Tokyo Game Show 2023 demo. This video features Sephiroth, Cloud, and Tifa at Mt. Nibel near the village of Nibelheim. The gameplay video shows Sephiroth's and Cloud's abilities while battling the Materia Guardian at the Nibel reactor. As reported in our own hands-on article from yesterday, Tifa Rodeo-style also joins the fray.
Aside from battling at Mt. Nibel, the video shows off Chocobo riding, some details about Yuffie as well as some action-packed Red XIII combat. It's an impressive gameplay video that brings back memories for those who've played the 1997 original. Be sure to check out the video below (courtesy of GameInformer):
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth launches exclusively on PlayStation 5 on February 29. The game will be exclusive to Sony's console through May 29, and we're expecting more information about a PC version afterward.
