This is over three years after the first entry of the re-imagined story made its debut and over 27 years since the original version of the game captured so many hearts. Square Enix has confirmed that despite not being out yet, the third currently untitled game is already in development. Based on the graphics shown in the trailers thus far, it looks as though the development team is making good use of the PS5's advanced hardware to provide another high-quality experience.
