Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail Gets Extended Teaser Trailer
During its recent Fan Festival in London, Square Enix released a new extended teaser trailer for the upcoming Final Fantasy 14 expansion, Dawntrail. The trailer, which you can check out below, is 3.5 minutes long, and works to primarily showcase the tone of the expansion’s new setting.
The trailer essentially acts as an expansion to the original teaser announcing Dawntrail, which was released back in July. The newer trailer features a minute’s worth of additional footage, along with an extended version of the expansion’s theme song.
The story of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail revolves around the Warrior of Light traveling to the New World with Alphinaud, Alisaie and Erenville. The trailer also showcases what the rest of the core cast is up to, including showing off the exploits of Estinien, Thancred, G’raha Tia, Y’shtola, and Uriangier.
On the gameplay side of things, the expansion will feature two new Jobs—a melee DPS and a ranged magic DPS—and the level cap will see an increase up from 90 to 100. There will also be additional story content, as well as end-game activities like raids and high-level dungeons.
