It was only a few months ago that speedrunner Samura1man beat The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess without taking any damage. Now, Samura1man has returned with yet another world's first, but this time for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.
Samura1man took just over seven hours to defeat Twilight Princess last October. This time it took him roughly six and a half hours to defeat The Wind Waker HD for the Wii U (although he's likely using an emulator in this run). "This challenge was done live on stream in one sitting from start to finish," reads the video description. "No glitches, no shielding enemy attacks, no save warping and obviously no damage."

Of course, just because Link doesn't take damage doesn't mean he's avoided being "hit". The rules for a no-damage run are outlined in this Google doc which clarifies what counts as a hit and what doesn't. For example, if a seagull takes damage while being controlled by the player, that counts as a hit. The same goes for Medli and Makar when the player controls them too. Getting frozen by RedDead doesn't count as a hit, but being grabbed him RedDead does.
Unlike Twilight Princess, where Samura1man beat Ganondorf in just 13 seconds, this time it took him a little over two minutes. However, this final boss requires waiting for Zelda to make Ganondorf damageable and there's no way to speed up that process. I'm sure Samura1man beat Ganondorf as efficiently as possible given his performance over the course of the run.
