Baldur's Gate 3 has been a huge success since coming out of early access, amassing a whopping 800,000 all-time peak player count on Steam with console ports still to come. Now the game's been out a little while, developer Larian Studios has managed to put together an interesting list of statistics revealing the game's most popular class, race, and other little factoids. It even has a little section dedicated to everyone's romance options, and there seems to be a clear favorite amongst the community.
Every one of Baldur's Gate 3's companions is an absolute snack in their own way, but Larian has revealed that everyone's favorite half-elf Cleric is the companion that the majority of players have ended up romancing. Despite initially being prickly and a tad bit racist towards Githyanki and Tieflings, it seems like a lot of people out there think they can fix Shadowheart regardless. I guess some people just like a project.

While the majority of players have their hearts set on Shadowheart, that doesn't mean none of Baldur's Gate 3's other companions haven't been getting any love. According to these stats, it shows that Gale is second in line for the award for most romanced character, although there could've been a chance for it to be Astarion if almost 100,000 players hadn't been rejected by him.
