Stormgate, the upcoming free-to-play game from former Activision Blizzard developers that worked on StarCraft and Warcraft, has shared new details on its upcoming project.
At Gamescom Opening Night Live, Frost Giant revealed new images and a behind-the-scenes video on the game's development. Specifically, the video focused on the Infernal Host, a demonic alien race and one of the playable factions, with the previous one announced being the Human Vanguard.
The Infernal Host have a powerful ability called Shroud, which is described as fields of dark magic that provide units from the Internal Host a giant advantage against the Humand Vanguard. Frost Giant also shared some concept art of the three key Infernal units: the worker Imp, the Fiend, and the Brute, which you can check out below.
Stormgate was announced back in June 2022 at the Summer Game Fest Showcase. We previously learned that Stormgate is one of the more versatile games in its genre, with Frost Giant's CEO Tim Morten explaining in an interview that the studio's first project is built for any player regardless of play style preference, whether you prefer co-op or 1v1, casual, or looking to play in a competitive capacity.
Frost Giant also revealed that EDM producers and DJs The Chainsmokers will be advising on Stormgate's soundtrack.
