The April Producer’s Letter for EverQuest II is out, and there’s a roadmap update, news about wider access to Kael Drakkel, and more on what's coming over the next few months.
The Lore and Legends servers will soon get some permanent changes, including some new items, and the Grace of Norrath buff and Scaling Green Adornment. Changes are designed to make taking on encounters solo easier. In order to make things even easier to use, the Kael Drakkel server will also become permanently open to all players, with or without a membership. Starting tomorrow, April 6th, through April 25th, there’s a free Jumpa-Lope pet for anyone that logs into the Lore and Legend server.
The letter also reviews the 2023 roadmap, and what they’ve already added in time with what was promised. So far this year, some of those developments have been more Renewal of Ro unlocks, several returningevents with new updates, and announced server merges.
The most notable roadmap change was pushing back the release of Renewal of Ro ’s Buried Takish'Hiz: Emergence from Stone raid until after the next major update, Empire of Antiquity , launches sometime this month. Also unlocking will be the Sultan's Mahallah: Daggers Drawn raid. April also brings the Beast’r Eggstravaganza and the new PvP TLE server, Zarrakon.
May will feature some significant updates to mercenary AI to make them react faster and be better at healing and resurrecting their companions. This will scale, so higher tier mercenaries will react even faster than lower ones.
In June, EverQuest II will be adding a new Live Event equipment slot, which will be used for equipment you get through–naturally–live events. This will arrive just in time for the Summer Jubilee, with a returning
