Teen Goku is finally coming to Dragon Ball Legends and, while that should be an exciting moment, fans can't get over how high-pitched and squeaky his voice is.
It looks like there's some serious original Dragon Ball fever going on lately as, just one month after the release of the excellent 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, Teen Goku and Piccolo Junior have joined Dragon Ball Legends as Sparking units for the Dragon Ball Saga episode campaign.

The announcement of yet another summon for Goku and Piccolo, who already have plenty of variants in Dragon Ball Legends, has been met with a mixed response from fans, but that's surprisingly not the thing that most fans are talking about with the update. Instead, most of the discussion has been centred on how strangely high-pitched Teen Goku sounds in the game.
Just a few days ago,the Dragon Ball Legends Twitter account shared a trailer for the summons that showed off footage of Piccolo Junior and Teen Goku in action. Piccolo sounds and looks the same as ever, but when the trailer gets to Goku, you might want to prepare your ears for a shock as Goku sounds a little more prepubescent than he has done before.
This can mostly be heard in his first line in the trailer, where he says, "I am the champion!" with a bit too much squeakiness. That's the main example, but the rest of his lines are all a little too pitched up too. It's clear that Schemmel is trying to make Goku sound a bit younger here since it's a teen version of the character, but it's a little grating.
