The Diablo 4 PTR Overview Campfire Chat is about to begin! In this article, we will summarize all of the most interesting content, features, and quality-of-life improvements coming to the Diablo 4 PTR, including the Season 4 Preview and Itemization rework.

What to Expect From the PTR

The PTR will only be available to Battlenet users on PC.
The testing phase starts on April 2nd and ends on April 9th.
Season of the Construct will end and Season 4 will begin on May 14th.
PTR characters can be boosted to max level.

Itemization Rework

Fewer pieces of loot will drop, but overall loot will be higher quality.
The goal will be for players to be able to craft and customize their ideal gear.

Base Item Updates

Many unused Affixes will be removed from the game.
Only Sacred items will appear in World Tier 3 and only Ancestral items will appear in World Tier 4.
The total number of Affixes on gear will be reduced.
Legendary and Unique items will now be tradeable.
