Want to know more about Diablo 4's Battle Pass and how to progress it quickly? While an action RPG in form, Diablo 4 comes with all the trappings of modern service games, like Call of Duty or Fortnite. That means new content will drop regularly, and players that wish to purchase a seasonal Battle Pass can get even more out of the game for a price. On this page, as part of our Diablo 4 guide, we'll explain Diablo 4's Battle Pass and how to progress it quickly.
Like other service games, Diablo 4 will have a Battle Pass available for players to purchase in the Shop, which goes live when the game launches. As players progress through the Battle Pass, they will unlock additional rewards and unique cosmetic items.
Each Season, gameplay features, quests, class balance changes, quality-of-life improvements, and more will be added. There will also be a new Battle Pass containing 27 Free Tiers and 63 Premium Tiers. All players will unlock Free Tiers as they progress through the game, but only those who have purchased the Battle Pass will unlock the Premium Tiers.
While Diablo 4 launches on 6th June, the first Season won't begin until mid-to-late July, giving players plenty of time to beat the campaign. That's important because you must have beaten the campaign to take part in Diablo 4's post-game content.
Blizzard has confirmed that items gained via the Battle Pass will be cosmetic only and will not increase player power. In addition, players of both Tiers can earn Smoldering Ashes, a resource which can be spent in order to unlock Season Blessings. These will provide you with a bonus earning EXP, Gold, or Obols, depending on which you choose, and will last until the Season concludes.
