Activision has revealed Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 4.
Launching on June 14 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST, it will include new medium-sized Warzone map Vondel and seven new multiplayer maps, among other features.
Activision describes Vondel as “the waterfront district of a Baroque European city where centuries of old-world history blends with modern architectural developments”.
At launch, the map will support Resurgence, DMZ and the Lockdown LTM, with standard Battle Royale coming to Vondel later in the season.
Warzone will introduce over half a dozen new features including the Tactical Amphibious Vehicle, the return of Favorite Supply Boxes, dynamic fog, and a new Field Upgrade.
Al Mazrah has also undergone “some slight topographical changes” for Season 4, which will see Warzone Ranked Play reset.
On the multiplayer front, six new maps will be available at launch with another, Vondel Waterfront (Core map), planned for the mid-season update.
The launch maps will be Showdown (Core map), which originally appeared in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Kunstenaar District (Core map), Mercado (Gunfight map), Penthouse (Gunfight map), Mawizeh Marshlands (Battle map) and Ahkdar Village (Battle map).
Modern Warfare 2 will also introduce 12v12 Search & Destroy and another single-life game mode, 12v12 Prisoner Rescue, as part of regular playlist updates.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded launched in May. It introduced core multiplayer map Alboran Hatchery, a new Atomgrad Raid episode, a fresh DMZ playspace, Warzone 2 Ranked Play and new weapons, among other features.
