Wanting to have Clans explained and how they work detailed in Diablo 4? Clans function the same way Guilds or Free Companies do in more traditional MMOs, as a way for groups of players to organise in order to tackle more difficult content and earn better loot in the process. On this page, as part of our Diablo 4 guide, we'll explain how Clans work in Diablo 4 and how you can make the best use of the feature.
Joining or creating Clans in Diablo 4 couldn't be simpler, and we would imagine future service games will attempt to emulate this system. Hit the Touchpad, and use L1 or R1 to navigate to the Clan tab, and you'll be greeted with a variety of options, depending on your current Clan status. You can search for an existing Clan or choose to create a new one as desired. This page ( pictured above) is where you manage everything, like joining or disbanding Parties within the Clan, and it even facilitates a private, in-game audio chat room.
As you complete Challenges and overcome major milestones, your Clan members will be notified of your accomplishments, and vice versa. This more social side of things can be utilised as much as or as little as your long-term goals require; set a Daily Message to keep Clan members working towards shared goals, or come up with glorious and unique Heraldry to inspire pride in all who bear it.
The founder of a Clan, or Leader, can promote new Recruits to Members, Officers, or additional Leaders, with access to unique privileges that can be customised as needed. Deputise your Officers to be able to go out and gather new Recruits, and then mute those mouthy newcomers until they've proven themselves enough to become full Members.
