It’s official: Destiny 2’s next expansion, The Final Shape, is delayed to June 4th, 2024. While Season of the Wish is still kicking off tomorrow, there will be other content for players to look forward to.
Along with the season ending in February 2024, players can look forward to Wishes, new “progression-based” quests available weekly. Moments of Triumph is also returning with “unique rewards”, and Guardians Games is moving to March. The latter will offer a “refreshed” focus on class vs. class competition, though more details are needed.
From April onwards, Destiny 2: Into the Light, a two-month content update, will be available for all players to prep for The Final Shape. Finally, three new Crucible maps are also coming in May.
Details about Season of the Wish, like its seasonal activity, have yet to be revealed, so stay tuned for more tomorrow. In the meantime, you can head here for several balance changes going live tomorrow and the new Artifact perks. The Fireteam Finder is also getting a stress test next week, with the beta launching in December.
