Nearly everyone knows by now that Bungie aims to rework huge swathes of the game's systems with this year's expansion pack, and the possibility of growing pains is very real indeed.
As outlined in the recent Destiny 2: Lightfall ViDoc, players can expect a whole slew of changes to many of the game's core progression and combat systems. From the release of an all-new subclass, Strand, all the way to the backend changes to how the Seasonal Artifact and its perks work, Lightfall marks the beginning of a new era for the franchise.

This way, players' armor will present a clear slate for the new set of mods, with no chance of the old system breaking upon the introduction of new ones.
