Genshin Impact fans are unhappy with the new character, Dehya, believing she is too underpowered. Dehya had been eagerly awaited, but has failed to live up to the hype for many upon release. Aside from Dehya, though, players of Genshin Impact continue to enjoy the growing roster of characters.
The HoYoverse game has been available since 2020, at which time it was a somewhat controversial release, with one ChinaJoy attendee smashing a PS4 in protest the year prior, allegedly over the supposed similarity to Breath of The Wild. Upon release, Genshin Impact defined itself in its own niche, and many people quickly became fans of the gacha game RPG. One of the biggest draws for many is the characters attained in the gacha mechanic.
Genshin Impact Reveals More Details About Dehya
First announced in January, there have been leaks of Dehya, building up some hype for the character. Dehya has only just made her debut as a playable character in version 3.5 of Genshin Impact, and players were quickly unhappy with her skillset. Despite being a 5-star character, Dehya has some of the lowest attack stats in the game; even lower than many of the 4-star characters. However, this could be a purposeful design choice to balance Dehya the Desert Mercenary.
In contrast to most of the game’s other 5-star characters, which are often only available for three weeks at a time, at the end of Genshin Impact’s version 3.5 playthrough, Dehya will be obtainable at all times. Because she will be so widely attained, it is easy to see that players would wish for a stronger character.
